It is a good tradition that Salesforce makes a major update to its platform three times a year. Usually you don't have to do anything for this, but it is advisable to investigate the new features. Perhaps solutions have been realised that will add value for your organisation. From 17 October, all organisations will be running on the Winter '21 update. Here is a small selection of the new functionalities.<\/p>

Mail templates<\/h3>

Finally, a fine tool is available for building email templates. With the Email Template Builder <\/strong>you can easily build your template from different components. Compared to the old situation, you now get much more consistency in your e-mails and more control over the layout.<\/p>

Automating processes<\/h3>

Salesforce turns Flow Builder<\/strong> increasingly the tool for automating processes. It looks like Process Builder and Workflow Rules will gradually merge into Flow. Flow Builder gets an intuitive interface and additional features in the new release. For example, you can now start a process when deleting a record.<\/p>

With the Einstein Bot<\/strong> you can easily offer a chat function on your website. For example, customers can create a case themselves or request the status of an existing case.<\/p>

The reporting module already had the option to 'subscribe' so that you would be sent a particular report periodically. What is new is the possibility of receiving the report as annex <\/strong>attach to the e-mail.<\/p>

For those working with custom report types<\/strong> a major frustration has been solved. When you add new fields to objects, they are now also added to the corresponding report types.<\/p>
